About My Journey

“The path that brought me here has been one of wounds and wonder;
breaking open and then relearning what it means to be whole.”
The Essence of Transformation
This work is about walking with people as they remember their wholeness.
In the spaciousness opened during a day-long session, old patterns soften, and thoughts, emotions, and memories that once felt fixed are revealed as fluid, shifting processes. As these insights are lived rather than merely thought, something begins to rewire in how we see ourselves and life itself. What follows is not forced but unfolds naturally: the grip of self-centeredness loosens, and life opens with greater clarity, compassion, and alignment with what truly matters. This is why I do this work—to accompany people as they dissolve what is false, live from what is true, and discover the freedom that has always been here.
My Journey So Far
My own path began in war, the harshest of classrooms.
For more than three decades in Army Special Forces and other government agencies, I lived through sixteen deployments across Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Somalia, and Northen and Central Africa. I returned with medals and a Purple Heart, but the truest wounds were carried inside—the weight of moral injury, and the shame, rage, and silence that followed me everywhere. At the height of collapse, life intervened. Surviving a plane crash brought me face to face with death, and something in me broke open. Questions I could not ignore rose up:
What is the nature of suffering? How do I heal pain carved into the marrow of being? What is peace, what is freedom, and is it possible for me? Those questions carried me far from briefing rooms and battlefields into monasteries, hospices, and meditation halls. Slowly, daily practice became a lifeline. As I learned how to turn toward what was unpleasant instead of away, the symptoms of PTSD, brain injury, depression, and addiction began to ease, then dissolve. With that healing came a new calling: I retired from the military and turned toward another kind of service—training as a clinical social worker, immersing myself in the study of trauma and contemplative practice, and writing to give voice to what so many of us silently carry.
The Heart of this Work
The path is one of integration. I draw from contemplative traditions that map awakening, from neuroscience that shows how the brain and nervous system can be rewired, and from the therapeutic potential of ceremony, where direct experience catalyzes lasting change. In this work, nothing is wasted. The very places we want to turn away—difficult thoughts, painful emotions, old memories—become doorways. Met with awareness and compassion, they reveal themselves as the ground of transformation.
Healing cannot be forced. It unfolds as we learn to stay present with life as it is. Over time, we discover what was hidden in plain sight: the clarity and peace we seek are not distant—they are already here, waiting to be remembered.
Our Journey Together
I invite you into this sacred space—a place of safety, depth, and possibility. Whether your path is one of healing old wounds, seeking deeper meaning, or simply resting into a greater sense of peace, the journey begins here.
In this work, we walk side by side. You’ll be supported with tools and practices to transform, to transcend, and to live more fully from your truth. Together, we’ll explore the vast edges of your awareness, uncover what has always been whole within you, and welcome forward the beauty of your most authentic self.
The works below are but small reflections of the larger mission I carry—to help individuals, like yourself, awaken to their fullest potential.
